Every second counts when you wake up, which is exactly why breakfast should never be a decision.
Think about a business process that runs so efficiently it frees up hours of human resources, allowing that energy to be redirected to higher-value work. The same principle applies to your morning routine.
White-knuckled discipline might get you through a week, but it always breaks when stress, sleep, or life shows up.
The only sustainable way to protect your morning energy is to turn breakfast into a repeatable, boring, reliable system. This is how you grow your business better than the competition.
In this email, I’ll lay out the simple framework I use to lock in a healthy breakfast on autopilot, so your brain stays clear, focused, and productive from the moment the day starts.
No weekday breakfast decisions is key.
If you are deciding what to eat at breakfast, your system has already failed.
This rule is especially tough to follow during winter months and all you’re craving is a fresh hot meal of eggs. Last week I fell into this since it was 10 degrees in the morning. Literally all I could think about was fresh fried eggs on toast.
But those damn delicious eggs cost me half my morning routine, since I had to do ALL these steps to eat them:
Grab kitchenware
Find ingredients
Cook the food
Eat the food
Clean everything
As someone who works a 9-5, and deeply values the 5-9 prior. This destroyed my routine.
Reset your mindset behind breakfast.
Your weekday breakfast main goal is to free up a decision and increase your mental energy for the day.
This means a boring breakfast that follows 4 rules:
Requires zero morning decisions
Can be repeated 3-5 days in a row
Takes under 5 minutes or is prepped once
High protein + fiber (no perfection needed)
This could be something you prep on Sunday, freeze and reheat, or throw together from the same staples every morning.
Different formats, same outcome.
This coming week, choose one breakfast that follows these rules and lock it in.
When breakfast is solved, your mornings run cleaner.
When mornings run cleaner, everything else gets easier.
See you next Saturday am.
